Managing Partner

Cyrus Aghili

​​Cyrus began his career at a private investment firm after completing his undergraduate studies at Columbia University in New York City where he majored in Applied Mathematics with minors in Economics and Computer Science. He had exposure to management of the firm’s holdings across the energy, manufacturing, and insurance industries. Cyrus subsequently attended business school at Rice University in Houston where he earned his MBA. During business school he served in a business development and capital formation role at a service provider for the energy industry.   In 2015, Cyrus joined Quanta Capital Solutions (the balance sheet investment arm of Quanta Services, an industry leader in providing specialized infrastructure solutions to the utility, renewable energy, technology, communications, pipeline and energy industries), which invests in projects and companies across the renewable energy, electric transmission, communications, downstream, and midstream markets. In this capacity, he was a member of the team that formed First Infrastructure Capital, LP and other stand alone investment vehicles dedicated to investments in energy infrastructure culminating in >$1BN of third-party AUM for First Infrastructure Capital Advisors, LLC as of YE-2023. In addition, in his role at Quanta, he led a number of balance sheet investments and acquisitions in the energy infrastructure and services sector.

Managing Partner

Cay Freihofer​

Cay started her career as an Analyst in JPMorgan’s oil and gas investment banking group in New York City after interning with the group in the summer after her Junior year and after completing her undergraduate studies at Boston University’s School of Management. Cay graduated top of her class and completed a double concentration in Finance and Accounting as well as a minor in Economics. Cay transferred to JPMorgan’s Houston office to continue with the oil and gas investment banking group and was subsequently promoted to an Associate. Cay joined Bank of America’s private equity arm in Charlotte, NC in 2008 and was hired to focus on the energy sector and investing across the energy value chain. In 2010, the principals of Bank of America’s private equity arm spun out of the bank and Cay was included in that spin-out group. Cay remained with that group, focused on energy investments through 2023 when she founded her own firm, Emerald Bridge Capital ("EBC"). Cay founded EBC in order to build a best-in-class investment manager and continue her successful investing track record. Personal: Cay is from the Northeast (Philadelphia suburbs) and currently resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband and two children.

Chief Compliance Officer

Gordon Polozola

Gordon earned his B.S. from Louisiana State University (“LSU”) in 1992 and J.D. from the LSU Law Center in 1995. Following law school Gordon started his career at Kean Miller where he represented oil and gas, midstream, chemical, and utility clients. Gordon served as vice president and regional general counsel for NRG Energy, a major independent power producer in the Southeast. Since 2018, Gordon has served as executive vice president, general counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at First Infrastructure Capital Advisors ("FICA"). In 2020, Gordon rejoined Kean Miller and represents oil and gas, midstream, chemical, and utility clients. Gordon continues to serve as the CCO at FICA. Personal: Gordon lives in Baton Rouge, LA with his wife and has two kids in college.

Principal

Drew Cassetta

Drew started his career as an Analyst in the Royal Bank of Scotland’s (“RBS”) oil and gas investment banking group in Houston after interning with the group in the summer after his junior year and after completing his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. Drew graduated with a dual Canfield Business Honors Program and Finance degree as well as a minor in Economics. Drew joined the RBS Houston office to continue with the oil and gas investment banking group which was purchased by Mizuho Securities in 2015 and was subsequently promoted to an Associate. In 2018, Drew joined First Infrastructure’s private equity infrastructure arm in Houston, TX as an Associate and was hired to focus on building the firm’s presence in the energy infrastructure space. Drew was subsequently promoted to a Senior Associate and Principal having worked on transactions across the renewables, natural gas transmission, digital infrastructure, and downstream space. In addition, Drew served as the Renewable and Industrial FP&A / strategic finance lead for a $3+ billion revenue portfolio across a publicly traded Fortune 500 company's renewable and refining construction segments working with portfolio company CFO’s and operational management to drive strategic initiatives. Personal: Drew is from Texas (Dallas suburbs area) and currently resides in Houston, TX with his wife and son.

Associate

Mark Fasciocco

Mark attended Washington and Lee University where he received an Economics degree with High Honors. Outside of the classroom, Mark was a leader on the university’s wrestling team and student-led consulting group. ​Mark started his career as an Analyst in Fifth Third Securities’ M&A group in Charlotte, NC after interning with the group in the summer following his junior year. While in investment banking, Mark primarily worked on middle market industrials transactions advising family-owned businesses. ​ Personal: Mark is originally from Pennsylvania (Philadelphia suburbs) and moved to Charlotte, NC following his graduation from Washington and Lee.
